The five basic shapes of wedding rings, flat, easy fit, court, d shape and halo
Wedding rings from PM are available in five basic shapes: flat, easy fit, court, d shape and halo. Any of these shapes can be customised to your own design. For example you might want a gold ring in yellow white yellow bands or a gemstone set into the ring. A surface pattern or texture may appeal to you or a different colour gold pattern inlaid into the ring. This work is carried out in our own small jewellery workshop. Specials aside the most popular shapes are the traditional ones.
All rings are available in silver, 9 carat 18 carat yellow and white gold, platinum and palladium. If you are working on a tight budget silver looks good, but like silver. It can, however, be plated with a thick layer of paladium to look very similar to white gold.

Flat ring sample larger than real size
Shown above is the flat wedding ring. As the name implies this ring is flat on all sides which some say is an uncomfortable design to wear. The wider widths can also be difficult to get over larger knuckles and may require a size larger. Hover over image for a larger view.

Easy fit sample larger than real size
Shown above is the easy fit wedding ring which is flat on the outer sides but convex on the inner surface. Having a rounded inner surface aids the larger widths to go over knuckles more easily and is supposed to be more comfortable to wear. Hover over image for a larger view.

Court sample larger than real size
Shown above is the court wedding ring. The court wedding ring has a convex inner and outer surface with a flat rim. The gently rounded surface gives a traditional look to this ever popular style whilst the rounded inner surface makes for comfortable wearing and easier fit over the knuckle. D sample larger than real size
Shown above is the d shape wedding ring. A more pronounced convex outer surface with a flat inner surface the d shape is another traditional and elegant shape. In the forties, fifties and sixties everyone appeared to wear this shape especially in narrower widths. Hover over image for a larger view.

Halo ring sample larger than real size
Shown above is the halo shape wedding ring. Round on all sides the halo shape has a bulky heavy look on the finger and should be easy to get on and off. Hover over image for larger view.
